2021-22 MLAAP HUNTING/FISHING PERMIT SALES

Milan Army Ammunition Plant’s hunting seasons are now approved.  MLAAP permit sales begin March 1, 2021.

The following requirements, if applicable, must be met prior to purchasing your MLAAP Permit:

  1. FBI National Crime Information Center – (NCIC – III Background Check)  
    • Required for:  All hunters who do not possess a Common Access Card (CAC) and also guests and dependents 18 yrs. and older.
    • Exempt for:  All hunters who possess a Common Access Card (CAC) i.e. Active duty military; MLAAP employees (including badged contractors); and guests and dependents less than 18 yrs. old.
    • To apply for a NCIC – III Background Check, the following 2 forms must be either mailed, or hand-delivered to MLAAP Natural Resource Office at address below.
    • Form MLN 190-1 Request for Access to MLAAP (NCIC-III Background Check)
    • DD Form 29123, Sep 2010 Privacy Act Data Cover Sheet
    • Forms are available at: www.milanarsenalhunting.com
    • This is an annual requirement and there is no cost.  Hunter will be notified by phone of NCIC results.
  2. Hunter orientation class is required for all hunters except guests and dependents of any age.    Orientation class is good for 5 years. (If you attended prior to 2017, it is required in 2021). Contact the Natural Resource Office @ 731-686-6682 to register for class or for the date of your last orientation. Mask and social distance protocols will be required.

Upon hunter receiving NCIC results (if required) and attending orientation class (if required), all hunters must either mail or hand-deliver the following paperwork to the address below to apply for MLAAP hunting/fishing permit.  MLAAP Natural Resource Office does not receive paperwork per fax or email.

  • Form 813, Application for Hunting/Fishing Permit (available on hunting website)
  • Firearm Inventory for MLAAP Hunters Form is required if using firearms on MLAAP. (available on hunting website)
  • Copy of CAC card, state hunting licenses, proof of hunter safety, State Driver’s license, military I.D. and military orders
  • Hunting Fees (See below). Cash not accepted.  Check or M.O. payable to U.S. Treasury

Individual Hunting/Fishing (Season) Fees for 2021-22:

  • $15.00           Fishing (no fee for children under 12 yrs.; 12 – 18 yrs. = $10.00)

  • $25.00           Turkey
  • $25.00           Turkey (Youth Hunters 10-16 yrs.) Includes youth weekend (Mar. 27-28) and entire turkey season (Apr. 3 – May 16).
  • $30.00           Deer (Youth Hunters 10-16 yrs.) Includes 2nd youth deer season (Jan. 9-10) and all bow, muzzle and gun seasons.
  • $25.00            Archery Deer
  • $25.00            Muzzleloader Deer
  • $25.00           Gun Deer
  • $80.00           Sportsman (Includes all seasons above)
  • $20.00           Senior Sportsman (Includes all seasons above & must be 65 yrs. or older)

Guest Hunting/Fishing (Season) Permits & Fees for 2021-22:

  • $15.00           Fishing (no fee for children under 12 yrs.; 12 – 18 yrs. = $10.00)
  • $25.00           Small Game
  • $15.00           Migratory Waterfowl
  • $80.00          Turkey
  • $55.00           Archery Deer
  • $80.00           Muzzle/Gun Deer
  • $20.00           Senior Guest (includes all seasons that sponsor is eligible for) for 65 yrs. or older

Note:  Guests are now required to submit Application Form 813G for a hunting/fishing permit. Guests must be accompanied by their sponsor (from whom their hunting privilege derives) at all times. Guest hunting is allowed during all seasons except opening turkey week Apr. 3 –9.  Guest information for deer seasons will be published in a deer hunting notice at a later date.

General Public Permits:

Random drawings are made for the general public. Public hunters are restricted to Zones 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, & 29 & Area Q, but may also hunt inside zones by purchasing a guest permit and hunting with their sponsor.  For more details, see 2021 Public Hunting Notice for 2021 Spring Turkey Season.  2021 Public Deer Hunting Notice is forthcoming on the hunting website.
