Two Youth Sportsman Seasons for Deer

(Oct. 30-31, 2021)  and (Jan. 8-9, 2022) Ages 10-16. Each young sportsman must be accompanied at all times by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device and must also comply with fluorescent orange regulations, as specified for legal hunters. 2021 Request for Daily Hunting/Fishing Permit (Form 814)

The Natural Resource Office does not accept a Request Form 814 for any hunting dates except for the following: Deadline dates to submit request forms is 10 days prior to opening weekends; this allows hunter 1 weekend to scout/put up stands. Updated 2021 Hunter Orientation Schedule

NOTE:   Orientation is required for all hunters except guests and dependents (regardless of age).  Guests and dependents are the responsibility of their sponsor. Hunters With Physical or Mental Limitations

At the discretion of the Commander’s Representative and/or Natural Resource Manager, hunters that exhibit physical or mental limitations that may increase the risk of bodily harm to either themselves or others, may be required to hunt with a responsible party or caregiver in order to maintain a valid MLAAP Hunting/Fishing Permit.

MLAAP will conduct a Coyote Season during January 4 – February 28, 2020.  Coyote zones are combined regular hunting zones to accommodate larger areas necessary to safely harvest coyotes.  “MLAAP Coyote Hunting Zone Map” designates the newly created zones and is available from the Natural Resource Office, Guard Dept., and on the hunting website, www.milanarsenalhunting.com.   Hunter Orientation Refreshers have been waived for anyone who has had an MLAAP Hunter Orientation from 2015-2020.  Any new hunter or those prior to 2015 are still required to attend an MLAAP Hunter Orientation Class.
