Hunters With Physical or Mental Limitations

At the discretion of the Commander’s Representative and/or Natural Resource Manager, hunters that exhibit physical or mental limitations that may increase the risk of bodily harm to either themselves or others, may be required to hunt with a responsible party or caregiver in order to maintain a valid MLAAP Hunting/Fishing Permit.

2021 HUNTER ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

NOTE:   Orientation is required for all hunters except guests and dependents (regardless of age).  Guests and dependents are the responsibility of their sponsor. Orientation classes are required every five (5) years.  All hunters who hunt on MLAAP during the 2021-22 season must have attended a hunter orientation class in 2017 or later in order to purchase an MLAAP permit. Coyote Season

MLAAP will conduct a Coyote Season during January 4 – February 28, 2020.  Coyote zones are combined regular hunting zones to accommodate larger areas necessary to safely harvest coyotes.  “MLAAP Coyote Hunting Zone Map” designates the newly created zones and is available from the Natural Resource Office, Guard Dept., and on the hunting website, www.milanarsenalhunting.com.   Hunter Orientation Refreshers have been waived for anyone who has had an MLAAP Hunter Orientation from 2015-2020.  Any new hunter or those prior to 2015 are still required to attend an MLAAP Hunter Orientation Class. Changes to 2020-21 Deer Season

   All deer harvested on MLAAP are now part of State of Tennessee Bag Limit. (MLAAP Deer Are No Longer Bonus Animals) All deer must be recorded on TWRA app or tagged prior to moving. All deer harvested on MLAAP are considered within the CWD Zone. 2020/2021 Small Game / Big Game SEASONS & LIMITS

Note: 1 antlerless deer must be harvested before the 2nd antlered deer is harvested.    Scouting and Hunting are not allowed in the same zone at same time. Small Game & Big Game Hunting are not allowed in the same zone at the same time.

Young Sportsman Seasons for Deer (Oct. 31-Nov 1)

Ages 10-16. Each young sportsman must be accompanied at all times by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device and must also comply with fluorescent orange regulations, as specified for legal hunters.
